I shared a tent at the Rutland Street Party with my friend Catie from Foxglove Farm, and wrote poems on-demand for about eight hours. A painter wanted a poem to hang in her studio. The final version was typed with a simple watercolor border of different colors, but I gave it to her before taking a photo.
As part of a fundraiser to send myself to the AWP conference this year, I took commissions for Valentine's poems from friends and family, and also set up my typewriter at a local gift fair to sell poems on-the-spot. |
